THI3TEEN teasers begin!
The new teasers for thirteen have now started to air on channels all across the uk all though they only last around 5 seconds the full 30 second adverts are set to begin this weekend!

THI3TEEN isn't so lucky. preview weekend cancelled
The much anticipated preview weekend which was set for a week today on 12th march has had to be forced to cancel the event due to technical difficulties, recent weather and other retheme areas are also behind. The following statement was released today:
"We took the decision to run the Preview Weekend, the first of its kind
for the Resort, some months ago recognizing that some of you would
welcome the opportunity to experience the TH13TEEN, have a
behind-the-scenes tour and learn about how the ride was conceived and
marketed. An event of this nature takes a huge amount of organisation
and planning particularly as we wanted to make it as special and as
unique as the ride itself. As those of you who have received the email
are aware, TH13TEEN is an incredibly sophisticated ride and we have
experienced some minor technical difficulties during testing. What we
have also experienced is some incredibly bad weather over the first few
weeks of the year meaning that an enormous amount of work still has to
be completed in the TH13TEEN ride area as well as Ug Land which is being
rethemed which is why we cannot allow access to the ride area, Ug Land
or indeed Rita.
I understand your disappointment and frustration at the weekend being
cancelled but we have made this incredibly difficult decision because we
could not guarantee the access and the experience that you would expect
from Alton Towers Resort. I also understand some of you are rightly
annoyed at the short notice which has come about because I had hoped
that we would be able to show you some elements if not all - it has
become clear over the last 24 hours that this would not be possible.
Once again, please accept my apologies for the cancellation which is
totally unavoidable as I now hope you will appreciate. We will be back
in touch with those of you who had a reservation for the weekend
regarding 'An evening with John Wardley and TH13TEEN' soon".
With now the preview weekend and the boot camp have to of been cancelled we can only hope this is for the extra time to get thirteen onto its feet ready for March 20th.
Or will THI3TEEN proove to be a truely unlucky number...?

Prepare to face THI3TEEN!
The thirteen mini site has been updated today to inform all thrill seekers that they can apply to face thirteen on march 2nd and 3rd but it won't be easy...Determined thrill seekers are invited to test their metal with an application process that makes Big Brother seem like your little sister!To kick-start the ultimate search, the Alton Towers Resort has put together a team of experts including Celebrity Big Brother winner Alex Reid who will put wannabe riders through their paces in a series of gruelling tests including:
- Psychometric testing
- Interrogation interview
- Rollercoaster endurance
- Midnight 'bootcamp'
Applications are invited from midnight on Wednesday 3 February 2010... so watch this space!
THI3TEEN TRAINS REVEALED!
Today in a press release regarding the preview for adrenaline junkies, a picture of Alex Reid promoting the new ride in the long awaited THI3TEEN trains.Also in the press release was a new ride description...
TH13TEEN is the ultimate rollercoaster and every theme park ride you’ve ever dreamed of in one. The ride will join a long line of world-first attractions at the Alton Towers Resort including "Nemesis", "Oblivion" and "Air". Based on the discovery of an old burial ground, visitors will be invited to take a ride into the Dark Forest, where they will have to try and escape the all-consuming power of the creeping forest.
